Hyper Parrot ("the app") is operated as a personal project. This privacy policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

Hyper Parrot does not collect or store personal data on any server. All user data — including vocabulary progress, learning status, settings, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device.

2. Data Processed During Use

To provide AI conversation practice and text-to-speech features, the app sends the following data to third-party services:

• Conversation text — sent to Anthropic's API to generate AI responses. Anthropic's privacy policy applies: anthropic.com/privacy
• Text for speech synthesis — sent to Google Cloud Text-to-Speech API. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy
• Voice input — speech recognition is processed on your device or by your browser's built-in speech recognition service. No audio is sent to Hyper Parrot's servers.

3. Cookies and Tracking

Hyper Parrot does not use cookies or any tracking technology. The app does not display advertising and does not share data with advertisers.

4. Children's Privacy

Hyper Parrot is intended for users aged 13 and over. The app does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

5. Data Security

Since all personal data is stored locally on your device, you are in full control of your data. You can clear all app data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.

This policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
